Planning your child's portrait session is not as complicated as some make it out to be. Just keep in mind these 4 basic suggestions.
1. Decide on the style. First decide if you would like a formal or casual look. A formal look would be more dressy and pretty dresses, or a little suit or tux with a complementary formal background. Casual looks could be a jean dress, sun dress, jeans, or kahikis with a seasonal top. The most important thing about clothing is that it be solid colors, as they work best, and try to avoid patterns or trendy clothing for a portrait. Timeless clothing will make a more pleasant portrait to display.
2. Decide on the location. Do you prefer inside or outside photos? If you would like an inside portrait, do you want a studio look or a home look? Portraits created in your home will have a personal look to them. If you would like an outside portrait taken, keep in mind that they do require more planning concerning time of day and background is very important. That is one reason why the Wyant's portrait park is so popular. Everything has been timed for lighting and background details for great portraits.3. Who would you like to give portraits to? It will ease your decision making if you already know who you want to give your photos to.

4. When is the best time? Consider when is the best time for your child. In the morning? After their nap? After lunch? If you are interested in an outside portrait, we also want to consider the best time of day for the light which is usually morning or later day. It is best to avoid the brightest part of the day (11-3). The best time for your child is the best time for your appointment.
When scheduling your appointment, a $100 confirmation deposit is paid with either mastercard or visa. This deposit applies towards your package and can be transfered to another date, but it is non-refundable.
