Welcome to our special section we call Studio L, yes it's my own little space in the world.
My name is Lois, many of the children call me Miss Lois. I love photographing children and I know how important portraits are to capturing all the growing stages of children.
As a mom of three, I love looking back at my kid's albums and "remembering" those days when they were cute and cuddly. Now that they are all basically grown men, I know even more exclusively how important those portraits are and I want to help you keep those memories as well.
I love children and for some silly reason they really like me. I have children in line at the grocery store that will just smile at me. I promise that a portrait at Wyant photography will be so much fun that your child will want to come back and play with 'Miss Lois'.
There are a variety of options available and I would love to discuss those options with you. I think it is important to look at the section on this website titled "Stages of Growth", it will help you see the most important times to consider having your child's portrait created.
If you are not familiar with Wyant Photography and visiting this website to get information I want to share with you some important things to consider:
* Be aware of your options. Wyant Photography offers classical inside portraits, location portraits, as well as outside portraits at our special 10 acre portrait park. This location offers a wide variety of looks with our pre civil war barn, variety of flower gardens, pond, bridges and so much more.
* The photographer you choose to work with your child should 'love' children, you would be surprised at how many photographers out there don't love children but are still photographing them.
* The photographer that you choose for your child's portrait should be able to give suggestions on ways to make the portrait very special. Clothing suggestions as well as ideas to make the portrait more personalized.
* The photographer you choose should offer a wide variety of ways for you to display and preserve your lovely portraits.
* Make sure - this one is important- that the photographer that you choose uses archival photographic paper and archival photographic processing. It will be very sad to start planning your child's high school open house and miss out on having those special portraits because they faded away and the photographer isn't around any more. Which would include another important item, you would want to consider using a photographer who has been in business for a while. Each year there is a large number of new photographers with a web-site and listing in the phone book, the majority are gone within a couple of years and replaced with another mass of "snap-shooters". Don't trust your once in a lifetime images with a once in a while photographer.
Although we find that most of the childrent we photograph are from the Indianapolis area, Hamilton county and Boone county, everyone is invited and we do travel beyond those areas.
